Cited — or it refuses.
The one thing a regulatory tool can't get wrong is making something up. So every claim links to a primary source, and when the record doesn't support an answer, Lex says so.
The kind of answer you get back.
Three rules behind every answer.
From the official record
Each question runs a retrieval over live EUR-Lex, European Parliament, Commission and Transparency Register data — not a model's memory of them.
Every claim links back
Figures, dates and names are bound to the exact record they came from, so you can check the source behind any sentence in one click.
Silence beats a guess
When the record can't support an answer, Lex refuses and tells you what it can verify — the calibration that lets you forward it.
Every read stands on a neutral, cited public record.
Map it, then keep asking.

Ask Lex, answered.
How is this different from asking a general chatbot?+
Lex answers only from live official EU records and links the source behind every figure, date and name. It doesn't draw on training-data memory, and when the record can't support an answer it refuses instead of guessing.
What does "it refuses" actually mean?+
If you ask about a file, MEP or position that isn't in the public record — or your figures aren't disclosed — Lex says so and points you to what it can verify, rather than inventing a plausible-sounding answer. That refusal is the feature.
Where does the data come from?+
EUR-Lex, the European Parliament Legislative Observatory and roll-call votes, the EU Transparency Register, and Commission meeting disclosures. Every cited claim links back to its official record.
Is it free?+
You get 5 questions a day with no login. Sign up free to keep asking across the full dataset; Monitor and the Exposure Report add saved maps, weekly briefs and verified reports.
Can I forward an answer to my GC or a client?+
Yes — that's the point. Because every claim is one click from the official source, an answer holds up when you send it on. When Lex isn't sure, the refusal travels with it.
