Council Decision (EU) 2015/1209 of 20 July 2015 appointing a member of the Court of Auditors

The Committee on Budgetary Control adopted the report by Igor ŠOLTES (Greens/EFA, SI). It called on the European Parliament to deliver a favourable opinion on the Council’s nomination of Bettina Michelle JAKOBSEN as a Member of the Court of Auditors. Following the hearing of the candidate held on 17 June 2015, the Committee on Budgetary Control considered that Bettina Michelle JAKOBSEN fulfilled the requirements laid down in Article 286(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU). The European Parliament decided by 558 votes to 30, with 108 abstentions, to deliver a favourable opinion on the Council’s nomination of Bettina Michelle JAKOBSEN as a Member of the Court of Auditors. Bettina Michelle JAKOBSEN fulfilled the requirements laid down in Article 286(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU). PURPOSE: to appoint a Danish member to the Court of Auditors. NON-LEGISLATIVE ACT: Council Decision (EU) 2015/1209 appointing a member of the Court of Auditors. CONTENT: with this Decision, the Council decided to appoint Bettina Michelle JAKOBSEN as a member of the Court of Auditors for the period from 1 September 2015 to 28 February 2018. ENTRY INTO FORCE: the Decision shall enter into force on 20.7.2015.
