Ce que fait l'acte

The European Parliament decided by 431 votes to 10, with 32 abstentions, to give a favourable opinion on the Council's proposal to nominate Alejandro Blanco Fernández (ES) as a member of the Court of Auditors. Alejandro Blanco Fernandez has worked at Spain's Permanent Representation to the European Union since 2015, where he coordinates negotiations on legislative dossiers. Previously, he worked at the European Commission as a national expert in the Internal Audit and Advisory Unit. By letter of 8 September 2023, the Council consulted Parliament on the nomination of Alejandro Blanco Fernández as a Member of the Court of Auditors. Parliament’s Committee on Budgetary Control then proceeded to evaluate Alejandro Blanco Fernández’s credentials. In carrying out that evaluation, the committee received a curriculum vitae from Tony Murphy, as well as the replies to the written questionnaire that he had been sent.
